GREEN FENCE

Since a few weeks I am the happy owner of a new garden. Everyone advises to look at the garden for a year before you change everything. So that does require some patience. But that does not take away from the fact that it is great to start making plans. My first wish is for more privacy through hedges and espaliers next to or on the boundary.

Green ‘fence
There are plenty of options for creating a green ‘fence’. Evergreen hedges, espaliers, climbers or bamboo. Plenty of choice! But when it comes to your own garden, the wish list grows steadily. I would like to have green borders on all three sides of my garden. And tall ones at the back to prevent people from looking in.

– Ready-made climbing hedges of 220 cm high
– (Evergreen) climbers against a pergola construction
– Pedunculate oak (Quercus ilex), in espalier form, evergreen
– Other evergreen espaliers, like Photinia fraseri ‘Red Robin
